This entire situation is not funny in any way, shape or form; a human life was lost, after all. But I have to have a little fun with this DDos attack attempt. It was stressful all the way around today, trying to figure out what was going on with the website. When we reached out to the company that hosts this website, we were told we were hit with a DDos attack. A DDos attack (a Distributed Denial-Of-Service) is a malicious attempt to disrupt the normal website traffic by targeting the server by overwhelming the target or its surrounding infrastructure with a flood of Internet traffic. In short a DDos attack’s ultimate goal is to cause the website to be unresponsive due to the overwhelming amount of traffic flooding the website’s servers and to effectively shut it down.
But we survived the attack, and we’re back up and running, as you can see. The DDos attack overwhelmed the site with some 17 million hits.
I’ve received information from a confidential source that identified who was responsible for this attack.
There’s only one person running with Brian Padgett who’s smart enough to do it. I know who she is, and Brian certainly knows that I know who she is.
But they weren’t smart enough. As I said in the headline, the truth shall overcome!
I will not be stopped. I will not pull down this website, and I will not allow someone else to take it down.
